Public Activity, ActivityPub!

A campaign calling on public cultural institutions to publish their activities through ActivityPub—the protocol behind the Fediverse—and rethink how they communicate with the public.

We believe: Public communication should be a public common, accessible to everyone without corporate gatekeepers. The technologies institutions use should align with their values of sustainability, fairness, and accessibility.

We’re building: A space where institutions, collectives, and individuals can share resources, discuss strategies, and cooperate on transitioning to ActivityPub together.
